Latitude Loan
A Latitude Loan (or line of credit) allows interest to be effectively capitalized, that is, no repayment is required providing the loan amount stays within the agreed limits. Latitude provides you with a limit, which you can draw up to or repay without penalty. Basically, the limit is always there should an investment opportunity arise.
Access to funds is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week via credit card or ATMs. All you are required to do is deposit enough each month into your Latitude account to cover the interest, fees, and charges.
If you think Latitude is the account for you, also consider Latitude Plus. Latitude Plus allows you to enjoy a discounted variable rate for a small monthly fee.
Fixed Loan
The advantage of a fixed loan is that you know exactly how much your repayment will be.
Variable Loan
If you like the flexibility of being able to make unlimited extra repayments and the ability to access your accumulated funds, then a Variable Loan will suit you. Variable Investment Loan repayments will fluctuate with the current market interest rate.
You can also have a combination loan. A combination loan means that you can split your loan into different loan types - Fixed, Variable, or Latitude. You got the best of both worlds - the security of the fixed rate and the flexibility of the variable loan, e.g. unlimited extra repayments. How you structure your combination loan is entirely up to you.
